Artist-Arborist, LLC, a fully licensed and insured tree company in the state of Maryland, has only one employee: owner-operator David Neustadt. David is a Baltimore native who graduated with honors from Baltimore City College high school, and passionately studied the arts and humanities as an English major in college with little exposure to tree care. David started at an entry level position at a small company in 2015, and immediately became enamored of the immense possibilities working with trees and large shrubs offered for shaping the built environment, as well as the complicated philosophical and ecological questions plants present. David has since become a licensed Arborist (MD LTE: #2623), an ISA certified Arborist (Cert ID: MA-6668A), a University of Maryland Extension Service Master Gardener for Baltimore City, has studied orchard production and Permaculture design with the Cornell Extension Service, and has worked professionally at the highest levels of tree care, including in high value locations such as Johns Hopkins University and the White House in Washington DC. David contracts skilled and qualified professionals as needed to complete your project, to provide maximum quality for a competitive price for any size task.
